TV1.EU® presents the world´s smallest mobile Encoder and cloud-based online video recorder solutions

miniCASTER® and online video recorder demos will be given at ANGA Cable at stand J38 in Hall 10.2

Unterfoehring, April 28th 2011 -TV1.EU® presents state-of-the-art solutions for mobile encoding and cloud-based recording services in Hall 10.2 at booth J38. With miniCASTER® TV1.EU® has developed the world´s first hardware-based, mobile H.264 encoder in pocket size. The unit can be fed with camera signals via SDI-IN, S-Video-IN or HDMI-IN (coming soon) and encodes the source signal into an MPEG2 transport stream. The stream quality can be set up to 10 Mbps /1080p or 1080i resolution before being delivered via a LAN, WLAN or 3G connection. Decoding can be done with available software decoding solutions or on the TV1.EU® platform side. miniCASTER® live streams are delivered worldwide over the TV1.EU® Content Delivery Network. In addition to the TV1.EU® CDN, other content delivery networks, such as Akamai or Limelight can be addressed for the distribution/use.

The cloud-based online video recorder solution shows the future of media consumption in times of mobile Internet. The service enables its customers to have a single show or recurring events within the German television program recorded and to retrieve the recording as stream at any time. Contributions can also be downloaded as "download to own" file. The entire service is web based and can be operated and consumed from any PC, notebook, Hybrid TV device or also via iPhone/iPad App. Thus, the customer is no longer attached to the living room and the set-top box or hard disk recorder.
